The Open Channel Meter (OCM) controller from ABM is designed to calculate flow rate for all different types of flumes and weirs. The controller is connected to a single ABM ultrasonic or radar level sensor for continuous liquid level data using RS485 in Modbus RTU protocol.

The OCM is ideal for water and wastewater applications. ABM’s maintenance free, non-contact ultrasonic and radar level sensors can be customized in different materials to withstand any environment. A very narrow radiation beam of the sensors allows for installation very close to the flumes wall. The sensors work at any temperature with no influence from rain or wind. For applications with foam on the liquid surface, ABM’s non-contact radar level sensors are the ideal choice.
