Application Problem: Plastic pellet storage silo required level measurement. Sensor mounting was very close to the corrugated tanks wall. Very low power consumption was required and a fast start-up time (a few seconds) for battery supply system.
Application History: Level sensors from competitors offered no reliable operation, were susceptible to false echo’s from the corrugated tank wall, had high power consumption, and a long start-up time which is no go for battery supply system.
Solution: ABM’s ultrasonic level sensor with swivel mount (ABM300-045ULC2-PVPVC-AIM3) fulfilled all customer requirements.
